The joke of the fringe is never really great in my opinion, but I’m not a massive one liner fan. Also it’s not representative of the fringe as literally every kind of comedy is there, a lot of which is great (got back from there recently).
It’s nice to see a female comic win but it’s not my favourite one liner (sounds like something you’d get in a cracker
I would love one please if you still have some!
Good to hear he’s still at it. Wouldn’t have blamed him if he took a break from everything after the last few months.
Still not had an invite to check out Tildes so not seen it, but wish him well.
I’d love for us to rejoin but realistically it’s not going to happen for a long time. It took god knows how long for us to leave in the first place, going back (even if there was appetite for it) would take a long time. Particularly because of the damage it’s caused us in terms of relationships with EU countries, can see some leaders making us wait even longer just because (which would be fair tbh). I think it will require a culture shift and we’re not in the right place to do that at the moment.
Yeah it feels slightly healthier than other fast food too
Great news, this is exactly what Oxford Street needs if it wants to keep it a decent shopping destination. Last time I went I saw way too many closed shops and dodgy American sweetshops
I meant as in it’s an inquiry not a criminal case, so wasn’t sure how much they could compel someone to release it. If the law is applicable though then yeah it’s not a good look for the government not to be seen to enforce it.
Would that apply in this kind of thing? I.e it’s not a criminal matter
Your initial comment referenced what the unions said, so it follows that @amanneedsamaid may reasonably assume that’s what you were asking about (initially anyway). Not the ruling by the judge itself.
Either way it didn’t need to become an argument. Can we try and be better than Reddit?
Saw some people say it’s a trap the government have set up for Labour, knowing they’ll lose the election.
I find it distasteful myself but it is this kind of thing that may change people’s minds (which is what we need to get rid of the Tories).
We need so much more social housing. The fact that someone vulnerable is unable to be housed in social housing in the area speaks to how much of a shortage there is. I would have thought in terms of banding he would be right up there.
I would be surprised if he came back to the news to be honest. Why would you want to put yourself through constant scrutiny after all fo this? Especially given his age and how much he’s earned. If I were him I would take early retirement
When I heard rumours it was him I was worried he would end up very unwell (or worse). The whole situation is just so sad for everyone involved. I hate how the media have so much control over people’s lives
What’s this about Klingons??
["Carrie and Boris Johnson have announced the birth of their third child, a second son.
Carrie Johnson, in the caption of an Instagram post with a picture of her holding the newborn, joked: “Welcome to the world Frank Alfred Odysseus Johnson born 5th July at 9.15am. (Can you guess which name my husband chose?!)”
The former prime minister Boris Johnson is keen to be thought of as a scholar of the classics. In Greek mythology, Odysseus leaves behind his wife and child to seek adventure, encountering many other women along the way."](https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/jul/11/carrie-boris-johnson-announce-birth-baby-boy-frank?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other)
Hard to know what to make of it really. I do hope it’s not true. Seen the supposed photo on twitter but some are saying it’s faked.
Try freezing a carrot and giving it to him, it’s good for teething and probably a good way to cook down
