Yes, you’re essentially paying for download capacity. But I never have to worry about viruses or my ISP saying anything. And downloads are instant.

I haven’t tried it for gaming or music. Like always, piracy is a service problem. Spotify and Steam have solved the service problem so I pay for those. Haven’t felt like pirating in a game in 14 years due to it, and spotify literally has every song I could ever want to listen to on the planet.

By not torrenting. Use Usenet instead. Way safer and easier. Once I went Usenet I literally haven’t touched a single torrent in over a decade.

You can replace almost all aspects of oh my zsh just by using fish shell. Like straight out of the box it does most of it. I switched off of a completely customized zsh (oh my zsh didn’t do enough for me) and fish is able to do everything I did with my custom zsh setup.

No one I know uses WhatsApp either (thank fuck). No one wants to download another app that now they have to juggle between different sets of people. I’m a software dev and even I hate all this nonsense of ten different messaging apps. On any given day I might use slack, discord, Zulip, Google messages, imessage, and matrix. Two is too many, this is just ridiculous. Absolutely no one in America wants to be using this many apps to communicate. Which is why most people just use the default.

Really weird to compare to Python and C/++ when Java’s closest competitors are definitely C# and Kotlin. If you were to rewrite that list comparing Kotlin and Java it would literally be nothing in favor of Java and all the same benefits for Kotlin plus more safety features. Honestly the whole article seemed forced, like @balder1993 said below. The part about java having ‘functional programming’ is also a laugh. It’s all based on interfaces, and you have to use terminal operations to do anything on a stream, it’s terrible design.

That’s not the same. Beeper mini uses reverse engineering, beeper just uses Mac minis sitting in a datacenter somewhere.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to indicate that it’s available in the level, but you can definitely turn it off from the pause menu in the overworld, you don’t need to run around to find the tower. I don’t remember if you can do it in the level.

and yeah, multiplayer is frustrating. I still have never seen as good of a system as the lego games in any local multiplayer game.

You can turn online off from the pause screen, no need to run anywhere. But yeah multiplayer works a bit better in local than what you described. Haven’t bothered with online multiplayer at all.

You’ve really got two options here. Tailscale, which will give you named dns routes for your machines, based on the machine name, or dynamic DNS with a reverse proxy like SWAG.
