Yea it is crazy. Like most German ministries have their own mastodon Account and sprinkle in some news. And like some news channels have at least a Twitter relay.

Tech and scientists moved in big waves, so to be fair: I switched with the first waves and am fine. Yes I am using it less then I was using Twitter, but less social media is never bad.

I never used a mac, but if you want to have a machine that just works, you have the coin and are not power User enough, that the wierd quirks annoy you, Mac could be for you.

Don’t get me wrong but Windows sucks for non computer people. Mac’s have the “do not bother me I do not care” options.

Additionally a lot of creative stuff is focused on mac’s. Music, photography, design is at least optimized if not sometimes exclusive for osx.

And do not forget that if you want to have devices that “just work” and you do not care how or why, having all apple devices must be nice. No compatibility tinkering, seamless backups and transfers, etc. Things get better now on other systems but try explaining an older tech illiterate person over phone how to get her photos from the phone to her notebook…

I mean didn’t they achieve that? Today a lot of things are web based. Firefox is a powerful browser. Especially on Android. So if you want you can have your OS in a browser thingy…

Be aware that Firefox Android supports addons. So maybe there is already a fix…

There is a project called Mozilla? Afaik it is the company name? What is it?

Vor allem da Facebook schon lange totgesagt wurde, aber es immer noch am wachsen ist.

Es wird sich immer weiter aufspalten. Reddit wir es weiterhin geben, vor allem wegen den ultranieschen subs die auf Lemmy zu klein zum existieren wären.

Die werden einen kleinen exodus erleben, dann wird es entweder langsam weiterwachsen oder langsam Nutzerzahlen verlieren.

Das die Qualität des contents dort einen starken Absturz hinlegen wird ist was anderes.
