I only have 3rd party controllers, a dobe grip for handheld, and a ds4 for docked.
Disabled granfather, I write code.

I got a used HP probook 635 g7 for $300, I like business HP models as much as ThinkPad, but I like the metal chassis more
Not having resources to test it right this second isn’t “doesn’t care” it’s just a lower priority.
HP Laserjet is the best and simplest printer I’ve owned.
I can’t stand any of the new packages except appimage, flats & and snaps just cop outs
Red hat is super well supported and documented, and more importantly for me, has the amd proprietary drivers for my card. I do ai stuff so I really wanted rocm set up nice.
I hate how weird the focus on arch installation is. I got attacked on reddit for calling endeavour arch. Like, I used that shitty method of installation in 1997, it’s tedious and there are better ways now.
I go crazy over boot times, systems is faster on every machine I’ve tried it on. The biggest difference I’ve seen is replacing grub, both systems-boot and car-boot seem to shave off a decent amount.
Windows 10, my wife and granddaughter got machines with it installed and saying I hate it is putting it mildly.
You can specify that in most setups, I’d reinstall and try that. Backing up your .config to git is super easy.
I have 2 Chromebooks I want to do something with, but they’re double core machines with 16g Emmc. Not really juicy enough for a good server.
Even my 10 year old laptops can have ssd. Depending on the laptop and budget could be a better fit for a lot of people.
Omg that’s a great idea I have an 8 thread 4 core from 2012 that was my main laptop 3 years ago.
Idk it makes sense to me. Companies using your source and work to directly compete against you is bad. Forcing competitors to use upstream is an ok solve.
Best cheapest vps I’ve found is nerdrack
When you type a TLD into the internet, a nameserver tells where that address is. Right now it’s going to your instance, to work, cloudlfare needs to be the address. Cloudflare isnt something you install on your server, it’s a nother server.
Well if the nameservers went just to your instance, they couldn’t provide anything. That address only goes to that machine. To use the cloudflare service, traffic goes there first, then to your instance. Think of a nameserver as an adress. If the content is at your house, then going straight to your house is what you’re doing now. There’s no wat for cloudflare to get in the middle.
Currently your web address has a domain that is forwarded to your lemmy instance. After setting up cloudlflare, you wil have to switch it to cloudflare’s nameservers. They will cdn/host/protect files and part of your site will come from there to users, and the rest will come from your server.
Why no red hat?
