It’s true that a lot of data isn’t sold, but a large chunk of the figure you quote also seems to include business data — stuff that contains zero personal information but is still hugely valuable to companies and investors (look at how much this report costs, for example, or consider that a Bloomberg terminal costs around $25k/yr).
And remember, those investment buyers make up a big chunk of the consumer data market too and are only interested in aggregated insights to inform trading strategies. They don’t care about personal info or targeted ads.
There are lots of things that can go wrong with film.
It’s usually around 50 years old.

There are presumably implications of being sacked instead of resigning. Like losing his pension?

Are you suggesting that trade agreements can prevent pandemics?

I certainly agree there are no benefits, but the whole debate around trade agreements is overblown on both sides. The UK is a service economy, and even within the EU itself there isn’t a single market for lots of services. The idea that either EU membership or Brexit can deliver meaningful trade benefits outside Europe is largely nonsense.
Negotiating trade agreements isn’t exactly a strength of the EU. It doesn’t have deals with China, India or even the US, for example. But it’s not like Chinese products are really expensive without one. In fact, the benefits are generally in the other direction — opening export markets for our products and services.
In some ways they’re arguing that austerity wasn’t aggressive enough to get the job done properly.
I’ve reviewed my doorbell footage and our lot seem to just pull them by the handle straight to the back of the lorry, so handle out is definitely easier for them. I didn’t see anyone checking in the bin.
Edit: On further review, the bins go into the mechanism at the back of the lorry with the handle out (ie, they push them from behind into the lifter), so it might actually be easiest to have the bin sideways with the handle facing towards them as they walk down the street. That way they can just walk up to it and start pushing it towards the lorry.

A taxi driver in Singapore once told me that they hold this title, ahead of the UK. He then pointed out the cameras on almost every lamp post.
How much do you think it would cost for them to accept cheques instead?
An MBA is a post-graduate degree.
Lots of people with arts degrees earn good money.
The Lake District is further from London than Wales, but plenty of tourists go there. The problem with Wales is that it’s just less tourist-friendly. The Lakes has been a popular tourist spot from more than a century and is really geared up for it, with loads of nice pubs and cafes and shops and all that. Same in Cornwall. It’s not like Wales is the only choice for nice countryside.
It’s the same in many fields. Trainees learn by doing the easy, repetitive work that can now be automated.
