I recently got a pop up like this, trying to push the Bing search bar widget onto my desktop. like GTFO!!!
Wait they just include lines of advertisements or something in the command line??
This is pretty neat, what are some of the plugins you like to use with OhMyBash?
Typical of Google to shut down yet another service
I’ve installed a few distros on my gaming laptop for fun and something I’ve noticed was that your desktop environment may have a large impact on your battery life.
With Mint, my battery would die in like 2.5 hours. After installing Arch with the Budgie desktop environment, I’ve noticed that my battery life was twice as long as when it was running on Mint.
I used Brave for a few years but recently switched to LibreFox. I really enjoyed Brave as a browser but couldn’t handle all the sketchy shit that seems to keep coming up
I know that there is that unofficial HoloISO that people use for desktop, it seems to work just fine but i would prefer an official distro release myself
lol that’s the funny thing about linux right? and with all the various distros and setups it can be rather hard to diagnose what the issue is.
another barrier is for nvidia-based GPUs, it just seems like gaming on Linux with AMD works a lot smoother.
Thank god for Valve and how awesome they’ve been to Linux users
ah perfect, and yes material design was the foundation of my education as a designer! thanks for sharing
FWIW i’ve been using endeavouros for about a month and i’m absolutely in love with it. their installer is super easy to use and i’m just liking how lightweight and customizable arch is
holy cow i had no idea manjaro was this bad
I’m also a UI/UX designer who’d love to help out! 🥸
don’t forget the constant messages to use Edge as your default browser! blegh!
I agree here 100%. My first experience with GNOME was using POP_OS’s tweaked version of it and then trying out regular GNOME 3 made me wanna pull my hair out since it seemed like the UX was severely lacking there.
I think there are awesome elements of it but it does feel like I’d need to download all those extensions and gnome-tweaks to make it function the way I want it to which isn’t really worth it; i’d rather have an environment that functions well out of the box .
Was there ever an estimate on when this was supposed to be released?
huh, interesting. so from a security perspective is there any other concern with this protocol? at least they’re not using a mac relay server like Nothing Chats was
