I honestly can’t stand comments like these. Why is every technology discussion on Lemmy dominated by people congratulating themselves for using something ‘better’? Most of the time without even being asked.

Dumb ass American politicians don’t know how to govern beyond “ban or blow up something we don’t like”.
I agree with not liking ‘differently-abled’ as a term. To me it reads along the same lines as ‘disabled people are built different’. Pretty awkward.
Not that I have a horse in this race. Or a neuralink, as the case may be.
Then why comment?
Wasn’t Apple accused of intentionally slowing down older phones as a tactic to get consumers to upgrade? IIRC they paid a huge settlement in court over it. Which I guess isn’t necessarily an admission of guilt, but it doesnt look very good.
God I want a fairphone so bad. Too bad they aren’t available in Canada yet.
