Just for the sake of being fair, Steam does do one thing which is anticompetitive; they require publishers don’t sell their games for less than they do on Steam.
If you think about this for a moment you’ll realise it’s in the publisher’s best interest to agree to this.
One of the problems Epic has is that it is only a store front. Steam is a fully featured platform.
Epic, in their lawsuit, wants to break Steam’s store and platform into separate applications, so they can compete.
Sort of like how people want to have different app stores on their iphones.
Difference is: Steam has no restrictions in the first place. You can add non-Steam games to the client if you want. You can use Proton if you want.
Steam offers all of these features for free. What is the point in breaking them apart.
It’s hilarious to me that Epic will never introduce features like this, and also complain Steam has a monopoly, as if they’re at all comparable

Right there with ya. EndeavourOS has been my distro for at least two years now. There really isn’t a reason to hop.
Also, if I need to reinstall for whatever reason (happens semi regularly because I’m a moron who moves fast and breaks shit), I just drop my package list from my home partition into the live-boot directory and it’ll download all my applications during install, and I’m back to where I was in less than half an hour.
Also the extras included like the update application, and mirror refresh, are very convenient.
I feel like EndeavourOS should just be a side option from Arch with the statement “I want to install the OS with a GUI”

I see the difference is Gluetun is used to route some traffic through the VPN. I don’t have a need for that, so I use the script to route all my traffic through the VPN.
For routing all traffic through the VPN, I use the systemd-resolved custom script

I’ve been using ProtonVPN on my router with adblock and antimalware features enabled, and uBlock on Firefox and I’ve never encountered a problem when I click on YouTube links.
I normally use invidious anyway.
