Here’s how I read this:
“We’re doubling the price of this chocolate this year. Here’s a bogus excuse as to why. Enjoy.”

Emulators are what I miss from android. GBA has one of the best libraries of any console, plus there’s the custom rom scene. And I have this absurdly powerful phone that can’t run any of it.
Domains were seized.
There you go, that’s exactly what I was thinking. Thanks!
Or, you know, you slammed the the bit you held into the body of the phone with a satisfying “pling”.
Now get off my lawn.
I just bought it the other day and went in blind with a friend. My god is it an insane game.
My friend isn’t even an engineer and he was talking about refactoring.
I’ll make an engineer out of him yet, you’ll see.
Wait, thats is very different from what I read back in the day. I know there was a point at, I dunno, android 5 where they started doing something different with java, but my impression was that android always ran a JVM of sorts. And frankly, given how it performs even on the highest-end devices, that was really easy to believe.
I guess I need to do some research now.
Interesting, I always thought it had to do with Android’s ungodly software stack which at some point involves, of all things, fucking java.
Hi. Friendly reminder to keep personal activity out of work devices.
Until we meet again!
I’d settle for hiding photos in albums from recents, as that would tell me what I need to organise and don’t.
Could even flip them horizontally for extra spiciness.
I don’t mind paying for an app, but fuck subscriptions. It’s dirt cheap and all, but I still won’t pay for it.
I’ll have a look at Organic though, that sounds right up my alley. If it’s open source, I can even have a look at raising a PR or two to pay them back.
Hah, I only knew that name from Daisy 2.0, turns out is a whole rabbit hole!
Also PC companies are getting greedy as fuck and charging Apple prices while not delivering an Apple experience.
Sent from my iPhone, which I bought because Samsung decided to double their prices between the S9 and the S23, all the while expecting me to put up with the train wreck that is the Android app ecosystem.
It can even deal with basic algebra, it’s awesome. I can’t be fucked to work out this 16-var linear system, or even to write out the sympy to do it.
But guess who is?
I wish streaming companies would take notes from Spotify. It’s not too expensive, non-exclusive, acceptable quality even on higher end gear.
Doesn’t shove idiotic recommendations on my face, doesn’t bug me about my address, doesn’t randomly drop in quality because my neighbour is taking a piss. Looking at you, Netflix, you expensive useless piece of shit.
(I’m fact, Spotify’s recommendations are so good that I’m constantly finding new stuff I actually like.)
I strongly believe that there are zero technical barriers to this.
But that would eat into Mac and iPad sales. Can’t have that.
Honestly? Sell me an iPhone that does that (behave like an M1 Mac when docked) and I’ll give you 3000£ for it without second thought.
Or horny.
