I actually stopped my subscription to Wired recently because the damn site never recognises me and login does not seem to support autofill or biometrics. Really pissed me off.
Anyway, the gist of this article is the companies are spending money on building AI and sacking people to save that money

Then they sell all the contracts to their mates from public school and the government no longer has a duty of care for the health of its citizens.
