Almost, but not quite. A single second recording played at one fps would take roughly 5 million years to finish, so a 40 minute recording would take 12 billion years to finish at 1 fps. The big bang was 13.8 billion years ago.

Can’t help you with any of the other stuff, but to answer your 4k question: No, you still need your 4k collection for best quality. Upscaled 1080p is still 1080p, it just makes it not look wonky on a 4k display. Any details lost due to the source resolution will still be lost, you can’t create extra detail out of thin air.
What the fuck is with this trend of releasing a great product and then 2-3 generations later nerfing the shit out of the memory bandwidth? Nvidia, Intel, I think AMD, and now Apple are all guilty of this recently.
I’m a native english speaker who understands it perfectly. I still think it’s stupid, there is nothing wrong with throwing an “and” in there. If space is a concern just use an ampersand(&), it’s literally one more space than using a comma.
RX 6700’s can be found new for $280, either that or a 6700xt for $~320-330 would be my recommendation.
Long time vaper here, fuck these things. Fucking leds, pcbs, type c ports, lithium batteries, all packed in to a device intended to be entirely disposed of when the juice runs out. So wasteful.
This is what I feel. I’ve finished ToTK and Baldurs Gate 3 once(so far…), but beyond that I haven’t finished a game in probably years. Hasn’t stopped me from having fun in tons of games over the years. I usually play for gameplay more than story anyways, with a couple exceptions.
So this is technically returning an old feature. Prior to the admittedly much, much needed revamp of the app, basically any desktop addon would “just work” on mobile. After the update, only select addons approved by mozilla “just work”, for all other addons you have to use the dev/nightly build of the app and then enable a config flag. This new update is essentially a return to the old system for addons but without sacrificing the performance benefits the revamp brought.
I mean, whose to say they aren’t? But also, the fediverse is worthless compared to the big players. The entirety of the fediverses content to date is like a days worth of twitter or reddit content.
It’s great that it works for what you play, but it doesn’t for me. Hopefully the steamdeck train continues to pick up steam, because it’s pretty much the only reason Linux gaming is gaining ground.
It’s the principle of the matter to me. Google became the multibillion dollar corporation it is by selling my data, your data, everyones data. To then come around and demand I pay to continue using their service the way I have for over a decade? But also still continue selling our data? Nah, fuck that. When they cut me in a percentage on the data selling business, maybe then I’d consider premium.
Yep, nvidia’s linux drivers are notoriously jank.
