Your second monitor was not broken by Ubuntu. Your second monitor was no longer receiving a signal. The distinction is that the second monitor was functional but not compatible.

See my comment in a parallel conversation to this.
Come try our pizza, it’s #1 in the country
Quite a lot, actually. This is really a summation and not comprehensive.
etc., etc.
Depending on the complexity of the environment, this can take a lot of time and effort: much bigger than most internal teams are capable of doing. A client I had in Feb-Mar lasted a total of 3200 hours of work between 12 people on my team across 34 locations to unfuck the situation.
I work in the anti-crypto scam industry. I applaud their efforts. Ethical fuckery.
Thanks. I only just noticed myself.
I know this is an old post, but fuck me running, Alexandrite is rad. Thank you!
For the same reasons you do not care.
“I can’t be bothered to update my signature” - you could fix it in half the time it takes to post here. It’s just a weird… I’d say flex, but it’s the opposite. It’s like a sag or deflation.
813-823-6615 was my childhood number until I was 10. My mom sang it to us. Never thought to remember my lock code. 0-31-10.
What’s with your pride in being complacent?
Even if he was, why would this excite you? Whenever something goes mainstream, enshitification begins.

Fixed the headline.

Can someone in the UK tell me what a “sticking plaster” is? I’m guessing spackle? Or is that just the British way of saying “glue?”
Edit: Thank you. I lived there off and on for 2 years and don’t remember hearing that phrase.
You can’t “just do this” because you live by the ocean. You’re over simplifying it because you aren’t impressed.
For coastal people of impoverished or war-ridden locations with tainted or unavailable groundwater supplies, this is amazing if it becomes reality.
Your normal isn’t most people’s reality. Clean drinking water is not ubiquitous.
You want everything just handed to you or what? You’re asking for cheap, best, and easy. At some point you need to decide what your goal is and accept that you’re going to have to compromise.
You don’t seem to understand the distinction. You monitor isn’t “broken.” It wasn’t rendered inoperable by Ubuntu. It simply wasn’t compatible with the way you set it up.
