Yeah. Drop over $100 for a high end Pi or get a old refurbished slim pc for same with more compute/ram, VESA mountable, x64 vs ARM and more expandable…
That’s the biggest issue. Support.
Most of the success of the RPi is due to rasparian and community support.
I just started messing with linux on an old laptop. Tried VNC and got annoyed. Switched to xRDP and it works as intended but performance is lackluster on a local network.
Anyone have thoughts or tips?
Nice link!!
Codegeex and blackbox look good as far as features go
what are the competitors to github’s copilot? I tried it for personal and really like it but can’t use it for work due to IP leak risks.
I’m hoping there is a self hosted option for it.
Edit: found one. TabbyML
Yeah. Mine was “too complicated” because I had an HSA. Are you fucking kidding me?
For now I tried Google play games beta. It’s a type 1 vm instance instead of bluestacks being type 2.
Super easy to setup. At least Google is the one spying on me instead of china.
I’m trying to run blissos now in hyperv with no luck.
Did you make any progress?
I’m trying to find a bluestacks alternative

Since the huge push to SaaS I’ve seen plenty of companies that essentially run thin clients.
The local workstations are just thier access to login to X website that host thier apps and data.
Zero reason for them to switch to win11 or buy new hardware due to “incompatibility”.
These end users can be trained to use mint or Ubuntu and be just as productive at work.
You can self host either platform so you have full control.
At that point anything you run is on you for security.
Connect wise and ninjaone come to mind.
Free and open source? If it’s enterprise pay for a suite.
There are plenty of RMM tools/companies that support Linux platforms.
My go to is a refurbished slim mini pc. Like a dell or HP for sub $100
Saved~~
I completely understand being stuck there while looking.
My recommendation is silent quit. Just do your responsibilities and focus more on still looking.
If you must install that monitoring shit on your personal machine then I would recommend using a VM if possible.
You can do windows eval forever and try to use Libre office instead of open office.
Yeap. I hate meta that much but also valve does goos hardware.
The knuckles sold me on it. It’s FANTASTIC
… so what headset do you have?
I’m thinking about the index on linux
