Ich weiß nicht was ich davon halten soll, als beehaw-User würde es mich auf jeden Fall glaube ich ziemlich nerven und mich dazu bewegen, mich stattdessen auf lemmy.world oder sh.itjust.works zu registrieren. Ich bin jedenfalls froh, als feddit.de User nicht direkt betroffen zu sein, auch wenn das Ganze wahrscheinlich eher zu mehr Fragmentation führen wird und mich somit früher oder später doch betreffen wird.

Hier mal der Wikipediaartikel zum Thema Föderation. Scheint mir genau damit konform zu sein, was beehaw gerade macht. Personen, die ihnen die autonomität absprechen möchten, mit ihrer Instanz das zu tun, was sie sich selbst als Ziel gesetzt haben, haben das System der Föderation nicht verstanden.
Mit “ihrer Instanz” können sie ja machen, was sie wollen, aber sich selbst aus einem föderierten Netzwerk zu verpissen, um es mal direkt auszudrücken, spricht dafür, dass sie eigentlich nur um sich selbst kreisen wollen. Warum machen Menschen, die einen knuddeligen Kuschelspace nur für sich selbst haben wollen, nicht ein nicht föderiertes Netzwerk auf? Genug Software gibt es.
